Resteel Ironworker jobs in Springfield, MO
Resteel Ironworker installs reinforcing steel bars, cables, or wire in order to support concrete structures. May cut, bend, and/or weld steel construction materials. Being a Resteel Ironworker ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints and instructions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Resteel Ironworker may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Resteel Ironworker may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Qualifications:- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver's license (state-issued ID not accepted).
- Applicants must also be able to perform essential job functions of the trade and have a high level of physical strength and stamina.
Overview:- A 4-year program consisting of 6,750 on-the-job training hours and 824 classroom/shop hours
- Training in all aspects of commercial steel construction
- No cost for training
- This is a UNION job with paid health and retirement benefits
