Retail Receiving Clerk - Full Time jobs in Lima, OH

Summary

Shipping and receiving employees are responsible for interacting directly with internal and external customers, drivers, multiple WTL initiatives, including multiple warehouse locations. This role also ensures a high level of customer communication, all KPI (key performance indicators) are recorded and accurate, all shipping, receiving, and food safety documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule all inbound and outbound shipments to comply with warehouse operations and capacities. Assign inbound/outbound trailers to appropriate dock door. Assist carrier truck drivers with paperwork and instructions.
• Answer telephone, receive faxes, e-mail, and customer service.
• Receive customer orders via email and complete all order entry functions in WMS. File and maintain all shipping and receiving documents in the proper record keeping location.
• Coordinate internally and externally with customers to allocate and prioritize product to shipments.
• Receive inbound and post outbound in WMS (warehouse management system) computer program. Data entry in various computer applications for inventory control. Print shipping labels and assemble shipping documents.
• Performs any other tasks as assigned.
• Will travel to our Liberty location (located at 1601 South Dixie Highway Lima, OH – 3 minutes from our headquarters) when needed

Required Skills/Abilities

• Microsoft Office-Microsoft Excel required including simple formulas and pivot tables.
• Open to overtime to accommodate business needs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as a team and as an individual.
• Accurate data entry into a WMS.
• Customer Service
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Time management to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving preferred.
• Performs any other tasks as assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
