A Retirement Plan Operations Specialist (“RPOS”) focuses on supporting the Advisors in the Workforce Solution Retirement division of RMR. Common functions are: preparing plan reviews, preparing paperwork for onboarding of new clients, creating benchmarking reports, coordinating and managing plan implementations, reconciling plan quarter-end data, facilitating rollover distributions, assisting in the preparation of firm-level client correspondence, creating reports to assist plan sponsors and other direct client related functions.

This is our first direct hire of an operations-only role in our growing retirement plan practice. We see this role growing as our practice grows with the potential in the future to be an Operations Manager in a department of Operations Specialists working with our advisors and sponsors to execute the daily tasks of managing Defined Contribution & Defined Benefit plans. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in Financial Services (Internship, Part, or Full-Time Employment)

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications; experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce, preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

Retirement Plan Operations Specialists are support staff tasked with the execution of various tasks relating to the company's Retirement Plan clients at the direction of the Plan Advisor. This covers activities such as:

• Preparing Plan investment reviews.
• Preparing Plan benchmarking reports.
• Compose and generate correspondence and client documents, including spreadsheets and reports.
• Gather, organize, and input client data into the CRM (Salesforce); manage data accuracy and integrity and keep plan file records current (SharePoint).
• Works with vendors to automate the process of data collection and analysis.
• Supports the 401(k) Department and Financial Advisors with general industry knowledge.
• Guide plans through the implementation process.
• Collect year-end census data to assist TPAs in year-end administration.
