We're excited about where it may take you!Job SummaryThe Revenue Accountant will support all aspects of the revenue cycle within the organization. This team member will be responsible for reviewing contracts, monthly billing, and collections as well as reviewing and preparing month-end journal entries.Essential Job FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required.
- Generate client invoices for all services and frequencies.
- Maintain client contract information in NetSuite.
- Contract filing into Egnyte Folder along with other tech agreements, amendments, MSA’s, and BAA’s.
- Month-end close, including deferred revenue reconciliation.
- Collections.
- Cash deposits and cash posting.
- Prepare and update KPI reporting for leadership using revenue metrics, cash flow metrics, and opportunity closed/won metrics.
- Create and prepare ad-hoc reports.
- Sales tax exemption certification management in Avalara.
- Miscellaneous billing, revenue, and AR research.
- Concur travel expense reimbursable billing.
- Support other accounting areas that are directly affected by revenue, such as accounts receivable, sales tax payable, and cash collections.
Knowledge & SkillsEducation & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with revenue recognition according to ASC 606.
Special Skills & Knowledge- Tech company accounting.
- NetSuite experience.
- Salesforce experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Client collections and sales tax experience.
- Understanding of accounting systems and data structure, especially billing systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing tasks, simultaneously, work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Working Conditions & Travel- Hybrid work environment (in-person and remote).
- Must be willing to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
