Revenue Accountant
TELCOR Inc, a nationally recognized provider of health care software, is looking for an energetic, focused, and motivated team member for the TELCOR accounting team. The primary responsibilities of this position are to execute and streamline accounting operations while adhering to corporate directives.
Responsibilities- Effectively maintain customer information for assigned product line(s)
- Process, review and analyze customer orders in accordance with GAAP requirements specific to revenue recognition, as well as company policy and contract requirements
- Accurately generate and submit customer invoices, estimates and statements in a timely manner, with special consideration for supporting month-end close
- Monitor customer payments and AR aging schedules and address uncollected balances regularly
- Create and import journal entries for management review
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations and management policies
Requirements- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, practices, analysis and reporting of data
- Basic understanding of ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
- Satisfactory results of a background check, including credit history check
- Proficiency with Microsoft® Office® programs especially Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, and Outlook®
- Excellent communication and business writing skills
- Highly detailed-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, set goals and meet deadlines
- Positive and cooperative attitude
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related programs and majors
- Experience with customer relationship management software, accounting system software and intranet environments preferred
- At least two years of previous work-related experience preferred
