Revenue Accountant - Fort Lauderdale, FLSAFEbuilt is actively seeking a candidate to join our dynamic accounting department and contribute to the achievement of our overall goals and objectives.The candidate should have strong Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR) knowledge and have excellent communication skills. You will be part of a highly professional accounting team in our Fort Lauderdale office.Key Requirements:Strong knowledge in Billing, Accounts ReceivableExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalEnglish & Spanish language is a plusResponsibilities:
- Proficiency in billing processes, including the generation and issuance of invoices, as well as ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Mastering the SAFEbill billing platform including Client & Project set up, invoice adjustments (debit and credit memo’s), and customizing templates
- Revenue Recognition: Ensure proper revenue recognition by analyzing contracts and agreements to determine when/how revenue should be recognized.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies, resolving any issues promptly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: with sales, project managers, and other departments to ensure accurate revenue recognition and resolve revenue-related issues.
- Audit Support: Assist auditors during financial audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Customer collections for assigned accounts. This involves invoice dispute resolution.
- Meet accelerated closing deadlines.
- Ad-hoc reporting.
Knowledge and Skills:- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. SFDC and Sage INTACCT are a plus.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Additionally, strong knowledge in Excel (i.e.: Pivot Tables, Xlookup, Sumifs, If statements, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Architectural & Engineering (A&E) support is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive and Professional attitude.
- Adaptability to changing regulations and business needs.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in revenue accounting or a related financial role.
- Minimum of 2 years billing/accounting experience and general knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
