You Are:
The Revenue Manager supports the AFS Accounting and Reporting function within the Controllership organization. This role interacts with various departments and levels within the organization and is primarily responsible for the application of revenue recognition process in accordance with GAAP and AFS policies.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Review contract terms and scope of work to identify and document appropriate revenue recognition approach, including approval of accounting treatment memos.
- Serve as the primary point of contact on revenue questions from other finance teams as well as business teams working on proposals and contract modifications.
- Provide formal and informal training on GAAP revenue recognition principles to other finance teams.
- Analyze contract level results, discuss major drivers with cross functional teams, and present results to Controllership executives.
- Advise on Estimates at Completion (EACs) with financial and program management on large contracts recognizing revenue using the percentage of completion method.
- Serve as point of contact for any revenue recognition issues/questions that arise from project teams.
- Review revenue journal entries to ensure accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare financial accounting deliverables provided to Accenture LLP to support Accenture's externally filed financial statements.
- Participate in monthly consolidated close and perform mid-month review activities including journal entry and account reconciliation reviews.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Execute internal controls to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, AFS policies, and Federal cost compliance rules.
- Support internal and external audits, including review of revenue support.
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects, as needed.
- Identify and participate in opportunities to continuously improve training, methodologies, tools and skills.
Here's What You Need:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Accounting or Finance related Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or public company services industry required)
- Strong Understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606
- Strong professional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Strong project management skills – able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Advanced proficiency with common PC software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint Sites
Bonus Points if you have:
- CPA license
- Government contracting industry experience.
- Experience in writing and evaluating accounting policy.
- Experience in creating and providing training.
- Familiarity with Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint

- California: $103,500 - $204,500
- Colorado: $103,500 - $176,700
- New York: $95,800 - $204,500
- Washington State: $110,200 - $188,100
