Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Support Coordinator is responsible for initiatives involving maintaining data and quality integrity for workflows with the Revenue Cycle division. In addition, this position will be responsible for monitoring requests from outside departments with the purpose of maintaining a high level of accuracy, while performing random audits to ensure quality metrics are maintained within department standards. The coordinator also works in coordination with ancillary departments to provide the most efficient processes and use of resources, as well as serves as a resource to all staff in all functions of within their immediate department.
Required Qualifications:
- Require an associate degree in a related field. Relevant experience can substitute for required degree on a year-for-year basis. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of computer experience with at least two (2) years of experience using SMHCS systems.
- Require Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prefer demonstrated effective communication/interpersonal skills.
- Prefer the ability to be tactful, diplomatic and to handle any situation with professionalism.
- Prefer general knowledge of various insurance payers benefits and third-party regulations, as well as knowledge of ICD and current CPT coding.
- Prefer the ability to analyze problems and offer solutions.

Monday - Friday with some weekend and holiday coverage required. Typically 8a-4:30p but will vary dependent on department needs.
