Rig Operator is responsible for operation of the rig, crew, and equipment and for ensuring customer satisfaction with all services rendered. Ensures that all crew are at the rig and ready to work at scheduled time. Being a Rig Operator maintains productivity standards for all rig functions. Maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance of applicable regulations and policies. Additionally, Rig Operator may require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rig Operator supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Rig Operator typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. VIA, Visually Impaired Advancement formerly known as Olmsted Center for Sight (OCS) is seeking a part time Switchboard Operator to work 20 hours or less per week.
This position is primarily responsible for answering external and internal calls at the Buffalo VA hospital. Under the direction of the VA Regional Director, the Switchboard Operator is expected to provide efficient, courteous and outstanding customer service to the callers of the Buffalo VA hospital.
Shift times may include daytime, evening, weekend and overnights. Ability to work holidays as scheduled. Applicants will be expected to maintain flexibility in scheduling to the extent practical to meet the needs of a 24 hour help center.
