Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry and possess excellent leadership skills. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is crucial in fostering a positive work environment and driving team performance. We average $2.50 to $4.00 per hour in tips on top of the base salary which varies by experience. We have two locations, one in Morrisville and one in Cary, we are hiring at both locations. If hired, you can work at one or both locations, whatever you prefer.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members to achieve operational goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee daily café operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
• Train and mentor staff on food handling practices, customer service techniques, and the use of Aloha POS systems.
• Manage inventory levels, assist with retail math calculations, and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions to enhance their experience.
• Collaborate with management to implement promotional strategies that drive sales and improve service efficiency.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, and encourage teamwork.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the food industry or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and handling procedures.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to manage inventory effectively.
• Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to lead by example, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for helping others and creating memorable experiences for customers.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds, bend and squat.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
