Job Description:
Percheron is currently seeking a Right of Way Acquisition Agent willing to work in the Howell MI area. Per diem is available for agents that qualify.

• Acquire right of way easements.
• Negotiate easements, settle damages and performing some title and due diligence.
• Negotiate with private landowners and governmental agencies for the acquisition of various land rights for construction, operation, and maintenance of existing and new facilities, including but not limited to, fee simple, easements, leases, temporary workspace agreements, licenses, permits, and ordinances.
• Mobile to travel to different locations on occasion.
• Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring curative action.
• Serve as liaison with landowner/ tenant on ownership, easement rights, damage claims, and access issues.
• Effectively use the Owner’s established policies, procedures, processes to perform work.
• Represent the company at public meetings before governmental agencies such as municipalities, zoning boards, townships, county commissioners and similar organizations.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to plan and organize workload, adjusts to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
• Basic document creation.
• Solid understanding of Eminent Domain and the process
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (ie.e. Word and Excel.)
• Willing to work in-house and in the field as needed in Howell MI on a 5 day work week.
• Per diem will be available for 6 days per week for applicants that qualify
