Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Emergency Room Nurse Director will lead clinical and administrative operations for this busy department. Supported by a CNOR Emergency Department Nurse Manager, as well as 3 tenured ED Charge Nurses, this leader will have all the resources needed to ensure the efficient and effective management of emergency care services.

As the Emergency Room Nurse Director, you will manage a dynamic Emergency Department that handles approximately 9,000 non-admitted ER visits and 2,500 admitted ER visits annually. Leading a team of Emergency Nursing specialists in a 20-bed ER setting, you will ensure smooth departmental operations and uphold high standards of patient care and safety.

In the crucial role of patient advocate, the Emergency Room Nurse Director will oversee daily department operations, staffing, policy and procedure implementation, and budget compliance with state and federal regulations. They will foster a cooperative climate among colleagues and shifts to ensure smooth operations. This role demands judgment and actions that directly influence patient outcomes.
