Risk Management Director manages and administers an organization's risk-management programs. Implements policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and minimize the risk exposure of assets. Being a Risk Management Director researches internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks that may affect the organization. Routinely evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor changes in the business environment. Additionally, Risk Management Director manages statistical analysis and designing of financial models to predict the risk exposure of an organization's assets. Reviews risk analysis reports to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Risk Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     The Hospital RN Risk Management Coordinator will work for a 300 bed acute care hospital located in New York. This acute care hospital continues to expand daily, bringing on new leaders who are excited to spearhead new initiatives, and ultimately grow with the hospital. With new cutting edge medical technology and services offered, this facility is able to accommodate a wide array of specialized services throughout the community; including a Level II Trauma Center.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Performance Improvement and Accreditation, the Hospital RN Risk Management Coordinator will join the QPI team to support the hospital’s leadership and staff with risk management throughout the organization. The Hospital RN Risk Management Coordinator will work with the Vice President to provide risk management services including risk identification, mitigation and harm reduction. Responsibilities of the Hospital RN Risk Management Coordinator include performing Root Cause Analyses (RCA), effectively communicating findings and recommendations to the VP and executive leaders, maintaining the risk management information database and confidential records, conducting reviews and audits, collecting and analyzing appropriate data, and preparing reports that explain tends, analysis, and recommendations.

    The Hospital RN Risk Management Coordinator must be a Registered Nurse who offers previous risk management experience, along with the ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) and efficiently use Microsoft Excel.

    Located in the greater New York area, the Hospital RN Risk Management Coordinator will work at a hospital on Long Island, surrounded by delicious food and endless entertainment.
