POSITION:

Under supervision of the Risk & Safety Manager, provides ongoing implementation, training, and support of loss prevention and safety program to minimize risk and loss. This position works closely with fellow members of the safety and risk management team, location leadership, and local law enforcement. Supports and conducts loss prevention investigations, program coordination, audits and inspections, and incident investigations while continuously modeling a positive safety culture.

As the Risk Management Specialist, your focus will include:

• Assist in updating and communicating changes to SOP’s, drills, and monthly trainings.
• Safety Training & Compliance
• Investigations & Case Management
• Audit, Inspection, and Compliance
• Documentation, Reporting, and Metrics

• Support the Safety / Risk Management and Loss Prevention departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with coursework in occupational safety and health, loss prevention, related field or equivalent experience.
• At least two (2) years of safety or overall risk management, loss control or safety experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends
• Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout GIM territory.
• Ability to bend, reach and stand for extensive period of time, and lift up to twenty-five pounds on an occasional basis.
