Risk Manager manages and administers an organization's risk-management programs. Implements policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and minimize the risk exposure of assets. Being a Risk Manager researches internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks that may affect the organization. Routinely evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor changes in the business environment. Additionally, Risk Manager manages statistical analysis and designing of financial models to predict the risk exposure of an organization's assets. The Risk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Risk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Senior Account Manager

  • POSITION PURPOSE

    The position assumes responsibility for the daily operations of assigned accounts, including management of client relationships, providing excellent customer service, strong professional relationships with carriers & co-workers. Assists customers with daily service requests, certificates of insurance, bind order and placement of coverage as needed. Introduces new products to existing customers and provides ongoing communication with accounts. Courteously and promptly resolves customer questions and properly refers them to appropriate personnel. Position would develop strong understanding of client files with the potential of growing the book of business with cross-sell of additional lines of business. Position would have a great potential of growth and/or advancement within the Agency. The position requires a highly organized individual, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES (all duties may be performed on a daily basis)

    1. Assumes responsibility for accurate entry of insureds and process of procedures.

    a. Receives and processes services requests by phone, fax and email.

    b Process new business, renewal business, endorsements, finance agreement, certificate requests and update into the computer operating systems on a timely basis.

    c. Communicates with accounts via personal visits or phone calls regarding relevant concerns, necessary product enhancements, and suggestions for improvements to their policies or coverage.

    d. In conjunction with Account Executive/Producer, represents ARM at renewal meetings as required .

    e. Maintains files, including master file and updates the system accordingly.

    e. Introduces new products to existing customers for cross sell opportunities.

    f. Responsible for Accounts Payable/Receivables upon binding of those accounts to ensure timely possessing to carriers and deposit of account receivables within the Agency. Coordinating with management for interaction between Account Managers, Producers and Accounting on Aged Account Receivables to ensure accounts have been paid and in good standing.

    2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with clients and miscellaneous customer service functions.

    a. Develops a strong understanding of client objectives and assesses their business strategies and needs in relation to their objectives.

    b. Sets up and processes new customers, rating, binding and issue.

    c. Ensures effective ongoing communication with clients to maintain high levels of customer retention.

    d. Seeks to resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.

    e. Conducts customer surveys during communications and reporting any concerns to management.

    3. Trains and supervises the work of Sales Support Staff

    a. Train Sales Support Staff on procedures they are responsible to complete in accordance with ARM Operational Workflows.

    b. Monitor the work performed by the Sales Support Staff to support the efforts of the Account Manager in servicing the assigned accounts.

    c. Monitor the work performed by the Sales Support Staff in conjunction with the renewal of policies for existing insureds.

    4. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with area staff and with management.

    a. Works to foster a cooperative team environment.

    b. Keeps management well informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

    c. Completes assigned documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

    5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

    a. Keeps work area clean, secure, and well maintained.

    b. Completes special projects as assigned.

    d. Attends and participates in meetings, conference calls, and seminars as required.

    PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

    1. Customer Service is accurate, prompt and courteous and processed in a timely manner.

    2. Files are correct, current and well maintained. Both electronically and paper.

    3. Good working relationships exist with clients. Client concerns and objectives are addressed and solutions are provided.

    4. Positive working business relations exist with management, internal staff and carriers.

    5. Implementation of 24/7 set up and use with existing clients and knowledge basis for EZ Tracs implementation when clients are written and/or EZ Tracs has been purchased.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: High school graduate. College training in business or marketing preferred, or an equivalent amount of experience in sales/account management.

    license Required: Colorado licensed, P & C and non-resident in CALIFORNIA

    Experience: Three to five years of experience in sales/account management (required) with AMS360 management system experience (preferred).

    Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to analyze and solve problems

    Solid organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under strict time constraints

    Works well in a team environment.

    Strong attention to detail

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This position is in an office environment which requires extensive periods of sitting and working on a computer and/or phones. However, the position has the flexibility, at the discretion of the employee, to stand up and move around as desired. Only light (less than 20 pounds) lifting will normally be required of the position.

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
