Risk Manager manages and administers an organization's risk-management programs. Implements policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and minimize the risk exposure of assets. Being a Risk Manager researches internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks that may affect the organization. Routinely evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor changes in the business environment. Additionally, Risk Manager manages statistical analysis and designing of financial models to predict the risk exposure of an organization's assets. Reviews risk analysis reports to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Risk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Risk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Description
As a First Line Risk Manager at Citizens you will be responsible for supporting and maturing the company’s Third-Party Assurance program and processes. The Third-Party Assurance is a valuable bank function as it provides specific business function vendor assurance, in relation to the customer, financial or reputational risks and leveraging findings and best practices on a bank-wide scale while working as part of the larger Strategic Sourcing and Third Party Assessment Team. You will manage relationships with the business and vendors, providing robust and challenging insight on business risk and on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control processes in place. Deliver compliance assessments, providing opinion on the quality of the vendor control environment needed to meet Citizens Bank policies including identifying issues.
