Job Title:  Operator

Reports To:  Manager – Developing Technologies Research Center

• Develop a good understanding of the equipment to provide effective and efficient testing that will meet or exceed customer expectation.
• Testing equipment to ensure calibrations and configurations of the equipment are in good working order.
• Assist in the construction, installation and maintenance of equipment within the Research Center facilities.
• Install, inspect, startup, operate, shutdown and maintain variety of process equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Effective troubleshooting in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems.
• Work with unit engineer to ensure the facility meets all testing requirements.
• Good communication skills in order to work with customers during customer acceptance tests.
• Regular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organization.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned. 

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Applicable vocation training preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to professionally and comfortably interact with all departments.
• Ability to work in areas where temperatures and noise levels can be extreme—the majority of the work performed will be outside exposed to all elements.
• Ability to learn and work under pressure meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to understand and follow specified operating procedures.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
