SAFETY MANAGER plans and manages the general health, safety, and loss control policies and procedures of the organization. Monitors and evaluates the workplace to ensure compliance with governmental regulatory agencies. Being a SAFETY MANAGER designs and directs safety training programs to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Develops worker plans and policies for new employee safety orientation including skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, hazardous material disposal procedures, and the use of protective equipment. Additionally, SAFETY MANAGER studies, identifies, and reports causes of past accidents and develops recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrences. Requires a bachelor's degree of occupational safety and health or related degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The SAFETY MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Advise customer of approved selections and communicate product needs for accounts to the Merchandising ManagerInsure proper handling of special orders and returnsConfirm customer identification, document sales, process payments, and collect moneyDeposit company funds and submit daily paperwork timely as company policies and procedures dictateAttain budgeted sales goals within management guidelines for assigned territoryProvide feedback to the organization on barriers to success and opportunities for improvementResponsible for inventory and loss prevention for ShoeMobileMaintain a clean, properly priced, and merchandised workplaceApply knowledge of company policies, procedures, products, and services to  provide quality customer serviceReview and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely mannerProperly conduct pre/post driver inspections and assure that the truck/generator has had proper maintenanceFollow DOT regulations for CDL drivers.
