Description

The Purchasing/Asset Manager will oversee day-to-day purchasing activities across multiple business units (Safety, Enviro, and Manufacturing), conduct regular pricing reviews and analyses, as well as monitor company assets (fleet, product, inventory). This position works primarily in an office environment and works a standard work week. 

Requirements

•  Develop and manage purchasing policies and procedures 
•  Source and solicit quotes from vendors 
•  Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors/third parties 
•  Develop and maintain an up-to-date asset register (acquisition, disposal, 
• maintenance history) 
•  Develop and implement asset maintenance schedules and procedures 
•  Create and monitor reorder points for product and inventory 
•  Enter and receive purchase orders into the accounting system 

Minimum Qualifications 

• 2 years of purchase management experience. 
•  Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset. 
•  Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies. 
•  Hands-on experience in budgeting and purchasing management. 
•  Superb communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. 
•  Outstanding negotiation, organizational, and time management skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

•  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. 
•  Experience working with SAP software. 
•  APICS CPIM or similar certification.
