Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     Drywall Interiors is seeking a Safety Representative to join our team. The candidate will serve our company by providing safety training, site walks, inspections, mitigate risk, and help implement a successful safety culture.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct thorough incident investigations, safety related assessments, and inspections across all of our jobs.

    Deliver instructor-led safety trainings, safety meetings, and toolbox talks.

    Ensure compliance with OSHA in the workplace.

    Review and verify all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.

    Promote safety best practices and enforce safety guidelines.

    Perform site walkthroughs.

    Driving to local job sites each day across the DFW area.

    Requirements – Skills and Experience

    We are excited to speak with you if you possess the following skills:

    Professional Spanish Bilingual Speaking (Verbal/Written) (Preferred)

    Minimum of 3 - 5 Years of experience in a safety role (Preferred)

    Certified OSHA 30 Hour, CPR and First Aid (Preferred)

    Maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance coverage.

    Well versed in regulatory safety standards and practices

    Demonstrated ability to perform individually and as a member of a project team.

    Ability to plan, lead, organize, and communicate (written and verbal) with clients.

    Comfortable speaking to audiences of various sizes and backgrounds

    Work Environment

    Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This position does allow for flexibility between field and office work environments.

    Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods of time

    Ability to walk on uneven surfaces

    Ability to work in temperature extremes

    Ability to work both indoors and outdoors

    Ability to climb stairs and ladders

    Ability to work non-traditional shifts on occasion

    Ability to lift 50 pounds
