Safety Specialist implements, manages and monitors safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable requirements. Evaluates the organization's procedures, facilities and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions. Being a Safety Specialist ensures the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures. Collects data and reports on all safety and accident events. Additionally, Safety Specialist may have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, resource conservation, or other safety related activities depending on the industry and location. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Safety Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Position purpose
Life Safety Services is looking for a professional carpenter to complete repair and installation of commercial fire doors, frames and hardware within existing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of working in the door and hardware industry.
This position is year-round and travels 100%: work 10 days and be home 4 days – The company will cover the cost of lodging and transportation.
Inspection pay rate starts during training at $19/hr-up and then converts into piece rate of $2.50 a door inspected.
Repair hourly rate is $24/hr-up depending on experience.
