Job Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in daily operations. This includes the planning and coordination of warehouse activities, such as shipping, deliveries, receiving, order processing, inventory control, customer service, product sales and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and a positive, energetic attitude to provide top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Should be able to seamlessly step into any jobs in the branch to support the Branch Manager
- Support daily operations by performing necessary functions, including: inventory control, receiving, shipping, customer service, product sales and deliveries
- Account Management, growing sales within an assigned account base. With limited marketing support, develop relationships via phone, email and in-person with Dealers and prospects.
- Maintain branch standards by following operational procedures and customer service protocols; resolve operational challenges; identify and implement work process improvements.
- Perform end of day functions including but not limited to end of day warehouse queues, manifest closing, document scanning, and UPS loading
- Assist customers by providing information; answering questions; fulfilling merchandise requests; process payments; prepare merchandise for pickup/delivery.
- Assist inventory through scheduled cycle counts and collaboration with Purchasing team to reduce excess inventory and dead stock.
- Support and sell products; know product benefits; attend training seminars; engage manufacturer reps to learn and solve product questions.
- Maintain alignment of work operations with corporate operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Manage, train and supervise branch employees with the Branch Manager.
- Protect and promote company values, and maintain company confidentiality.
- Maintain a safe and clean retail location. Maintain equipment inspections and attend safety meetings.
- Update job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
- Assist in the opening & closing process
Qualifications:
- Fluent computer literacy; Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Epicor Solar Eclipse), etc.
- 2 years of experience selling in an industrial counter sales environment
- 2 years of warehouse functions & management
- Ability to process point-of-sale transactions, quotes, and returns
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid state driver’s license
- Forklift experience required
- Authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test
Working Hours
7 AM - 4 PM

- Portland, OR 97230: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Sales: 2 years (Preferred)
- Warehouse management: 2 years (Preferred)
