Job Description: TRiO Student Support Services Coordinator/Advisor/Tutor

Location: Nelsonville, OH, 45764

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a TRiO Student Support Services Coordinator/Advisor/Tutor. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting new participants, creating promotional materials for workshops and events, conducting interviews, updating the database, contacting new participants, managing advising of caseload, documenting all contacts and student progress, tracking program data, monitoring changes, updating info for annual performance report, planning and coordinating student development workshops, advising students in transfer and career exploration and attainment.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit new participants for the TRiO program
• Create promotional materials for workshops and events
• Conduct interviews with potential participants
• Update the database with participant information
• Contact new participants to provide program information and support
• Manage advising of caseload, including scheduling appointments and providing guidance on academic and personal matters
• Document all contacts and student progress in the database
• Track program data and monitor changes
• Update information for the annual performance report
• Plan and coordinate student development workshops on topics such as study skills, time management, and financial literacy
• Advise students in transfer and career exploration and attainment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field; Master's preferred
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Experience in working with FAFSA, financial aid processes, and academic support programming
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate group activities/workshops/field trips
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
