In addition, Sanitation Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Sanitation Technician works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Sanitation Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. If you’re tires of being just a number, than this may be the job for you.We are looking to hire a Full-Time SANITATION SERVICE TECHNICIAN to join our team. This technician must have a valid drivers’ license, the willingness to learn, and a limited knowledge of electric and electrical components. Starting pay would be dependent on experience and needed training. This person will be responsible for safely driving and operating one of our service vehicles on a daily basis. This job also includes, but is not limited to, trouble shooting and repairing of residential septic systems, repairing/replacing septic motors and pumps, installing risers, and some hard physical labor. The things listed, are all included in a typical day for our Service Technicians. This person will also be requested to have some basic knowledge of electric and its’ components, mostly used for time/motor installations and trouble shooting aeration/mound systems.Responsibilities Included (not limited to):
- Trouble shooting and diagnosing residential septic system issues.
- Repairing/replacing residential motors, times, floats, and pumps.
- Digging, hauling, setting, and installing risers.
- Keeping residential septic systems in compliance with county regulations.
- Collecting payments from customers.
- Maintaining an iPad or Iphone for our office application (invoicing, directions, client info).
- Reporting any and all issues/incidents to dispatch.
- Great Customer Service.
Qualifications Needed:- Previous experience or knowledge of septic systems.
- Limited knowledge of electric and components.
- Ability to handle a physical work load.
- Time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid Drivers’ license with little to no points (to be added to our insurance).
- A strong work ethic.
- The ability to work outdoors in most weather conditions.
