- Understand the requirements of accreditation agencies (e.g., The Joint Commission, CAP) and quality control practices and procedures within a clinical laboratory.

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a Technical Laboratory Educator on our Medical and Scientific Affairs team, you will play a crucial role in educating our customers about in vitro diagnostic products and laboratory systems.
Your primary focus will be to provide outstanding support to our customers for current and future Phadia lab systems and automated IFA solutions through skills-based training and both live and virtual programming. You will be instrumental in guiding our laboratory customers and supporting our commercial teams to achieve growth through effective content delivery and customer interactions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Partner with field sales, sales management, and marketing to provide peer-to-peer programming for targeted lab customers and Key Opinion Leaders through programs and presentations.
- Collaborate closely with the US and Global Marketing teams to provide technical expertise in message development.
- Provide clinical expertise in the development or modification of practice guidelines that include allergy and autoimmunity diagnostic testing.
- Educate laboratorians on how to efficiently utilize our diagnostic portfolio.
- Serve as a resource for new hire and colleague lab training.
- Identify and develop laboratory champions and thought leaders.
- Design and conduct customized training presentations and diagnostic pathway implementation as needed.
- Ensure that all training, presentations, and discussions are consistent with approved product indications for use.
- Travel up to 30% throughout the country, with occasional international travel as needed.

- Education: BS, preferably in health-related field, MS or PhD desirable
- Licenses or Certifications: MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
- 5 years successful experience in diagnostic or laboratory field, and a track record of success
- Must have ability to be persuasive and operate effectively within a professional healthcare environment.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and applications.
