Requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to head of a unit/department. The Scientist - Clinical Research work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The University of Notre Dame () is accepting applications for a Research Scientist.
Applications will be accepted until 03/26/2024.The CoMMaND (Computational Mechanics of Morphology at Notre Dame) Lab Research
Scientist will focus on apply engineering and computational approaches to understand the role of mechanics in complex health-related issues. The position will be supported through funded projects and will be responsible for making progress on the proposed work via the following responsibilities:- Designing and conducting simulations and performing data analysis
- Supervising and mentoring students and collaboration with other lab members to push forward project progress
- Writing journal papers and preparing conference presentations
Please note that this is a 2-year limited-term position with possible renewal dependent upon funding.
Minimum Qualifications:- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Bioengineering
- 3 - 4 years experience
- Familiarity with user subroutines in Abaques, background in computational biomechanics, good communication skills
