Position overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tailor/Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and tailoring, with a strong focus on attention to detail and craftsmanship. You will be responsible for performing high-quality alterations, repairs, and custom fittings on a variety of garments, including suits, dresses, shirts, and sportswear.

Responsibilities

- Perform alterations, repairs, and adjustments on garments, including hems, seams, zippers, and custom fittings.

- Work with high-quality fabrics

- Measure customers and ensure precise tailoring for suits, dresses, and custom garments.

- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with fittings and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Collaborate with our design team to bring custom clothing concepts to life.

- Ensure timely completion of all tailoring tasks while maintaining the highest quality standards.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Tailor or Seamstress, preferably in a high-end or luxury retail environment.

- Expertise in working with a wide range of fabrics and garments.

- Strong attention to detail and precision in all tasks.

- Ability to measure, fit, and alter garments to exact customer specifications.

- Knowledge of sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.

- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work under deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with customers during fittings.

- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.87 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
