Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of garment construction. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering and repairing garments to meet customer specifications, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship. This role requires excellent sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on a variety of garments including dresses, suits, and casual wear.
• Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations accurately.
• Assess customer needs and provide recommendations for garment adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their preferences and deliver tailored solutions.
• Conduct fittings with clients to ensure proper fit and satisfaction with alterations.
• Keep up-to-date with fashion trends and techniques in garment construction.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and alteration processes.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to alterations.
• Previous experience in fashion retail or tailoring is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
