You will be involved in every step of the process, with opportunities to niche down over time. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or early-career professional (1-3 years of experience) eager to hone their accounting and finance skills across a variety of business types and stages.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bookkeeping & General Ledger
Maintain accurate financial records, record transactions, and manage the monthly close process.
2. AP & AR Management
Handle vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and oversee client billing processes.
3. Excel Data Analysis
Review and interpret data sets to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in financial planning by building sales forecasts, budgets, and variances at month end.
5. System Setup & Maintenance
Configure accounting software, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize financial systems.
6. Financial Statements & Reporting
Prepare timely statements and summaries to present key findings and performance indicators.
7. Process Improvement
Identify workflow inefficiencies, propose automation opportunities, and implement best practices.
8. Team Collaboration
Work with senior staff and clients to meet deadlines, ensure accuracy, and share insights.
