Secondary Market Manager helps develop, manage, and improve a company's secondary mortgage market operations. Leads a team of analysts to ensure timely and accurate work and provides research and solutions to complex questions or tasks. Being a Secondary Market Manager oversees the company's loan purchases and sales on the secondary market and manages mortgage loan portfolios to balance risk. Reviews performance indicators and utilizes economic data and market trends to determine risk. Additionally, Secondary Market Manager maintains relationships with investors, brokers, and originators to identify and develop new leads and opportunities. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a director. The Secondary Market Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Secondary Market Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     WORKDAYS PER FISCAL YEAR:  180

    SUMMARY:  The Secondary Math Teacher provides basic instruction in secondary education to middle and high school aged children utilizing teaching techniques that are consistent with school established objectives.

     

    ABOUT CHIEF LESCHI SCHOOLS:  Formerly known as the Puyallup Tribal School, Chief Leschi Schools was founded in 1976 to address the high dropout rate of the youth of the Puyallup tribe. It is the largest of seven tribal schools in the state of Washington and one of approximately 200 tribal schools in the United States. It is also one of the largest tribal schools to be funded by the Bureau of Indian Education.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Communicates clearly, both orally and in writing
    • Prepares lessons and activities using common core state standards and best practices strategies
    • Administers all classroom –based assessments and standardized tests as directed, including End-of-Course (EOC) tests
    • Creates an effective environment for learning through positive student interactions
    • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects; and communicates these objectives to students
    • Regularly communicates with parents and/or guardians through conferences, phone calls, grade updates and other means to discuss student progress
    • Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems
    • Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, as well as professional growth activities
    • Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned workday
    • Refers students with special needs to appropriate staff for additional educational assistance, in accordance with requirements of Public Law 94-142
    • Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities
    • Works effectively with para-educators and other staff members
    • Performs other duties as assigned by administrator

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor’s degree in Education

    Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with applicable endorsement

    Successful teaching and/or student-teaching experiences at the secondary level

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Current or recent experience working with Native Americans or other similar diverse populations

    Knowledge of or experience with:
    AVID, Responsive Classroom, Trauma-Informed Practices, Restorative Practices, Project GLAD, Project Based Learning

     

    CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

    Successful criminal background clearance

    Successful and/or clear drug screening

    School board policies and procedures

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Anything over the weight limits should be done as a two-person lift or with a mechanical lift.
