The Corporate Safety & Security Senior Analyst compiles data and analyzes results of audits, inspections, daily logs, and incident reports to assess security vulnerabilities, measure program effectiveness, and identify the need for additional resources. Administers, coordinates, and evaluates security programs that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Being a Corporate Safety & Security Senior Analyst assists with the development of training, education programs, and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is prepared for potential security issues, crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Coordinates any required security clearance processing or investigative research for employees or job candidates with applicable entities. In addition, Corporate Safety & Security Senior Analyst monitors communications and stays informed about local, state, provincial, or federal security-related information, directives, and events. May coordinate or assist with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Being a Corporate Safety & Security Senior Analyst work is highly independent. Position Summary:
Iron Vine Security is a rapidly growing information security and information technology company in Washington, DC. We are looking to hire a Junior Security Analyst to provide a full range of cyber security services on a long-term contract in Baltimore, MD. The position is full time/permanent and will support a US Government civilian agency. The position is available immediately upon finding a qualified candidate with the appropriate background clearance.
Job Requirements:
· 1 to 3 years of successful network troubleshooting experience.
· Ability to obtain a security clearance.
· Proven experience managing a large and complex network.
Certifications/Licenses:
· Security , Network , and/or CCNA are a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a computer-related field.
Additional Experience Preferred:
· Experience with ForeScout, Tripwire IP360, BigFix, and Tenable Security Center are a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
The Junior Security Analyst will support a wide array of information systems and security technologies in a highly federated government environment. The ideal candidate for this position is a fast learner and has experience with networking equipment, is well-versed in Windows-based computing solutions, and networking protocols.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
· Monitoring vulnerability scans and the status of scanning appliances in enterprise datacenters.
· Researching and troubleshooting networking issues and events to find root-cause analysis.
· Participating in deployment meetings, reviewing network topologies to place scanners in proper areas of networks to gain visibility to assess security posture.
· Running scheduled and ad hoc security reports detailing enterprise security posture.
