Security Guard - Unarmed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Unarmed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Unarmed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Unarmed works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Guard will monitor premises through a mobile patrol unit and will conduct regular patrols across 3 different coal mines while enforcing safety protocols.Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter criminal activity and ensure safety compliance.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing assistance as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, or irregularities observed during shifts.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding safety and security measures.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for investigations or emergencies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security is preferred, at least 6 months to 1 year
- Strong conflict management skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a criminal background check upon hire
- Must pass a standardized drug screening upon hire
Shift Information
Monday-Friday 5pm-4am, Saturday 4am-4pm, Saturday 4pm-4am, Sunday 4am-4pm, Sunday 4pm-4am.
Able to be flexible with schedule building, must discuss with other available guards.
