    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) ...

    The primary role is to provide statistical and analytical expertise that will support and advance the organization's mission to improve outcomes for people mental health and substance abuse in the state of Rhode Island. The Data Analyst will work closely with teams from our partners within Horizon Healthcare and our internal stakeholders, to support the design and implementation statistical analyses for observational and interventional data, as well as to help establish best practices for data management and data analysis strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst looking to build a data repository from the ground up, and influence its' design and functionality.

    Essential Duties:

    • Contribute to the design and build out of a functional data repository

    • Handle organization's data reporting and analysis including summarizing, documenting, validating, and creating charts for tracking and other fulfillment
      client activities for pay for performance population management initiatives.

    • Partner with Horizon Healthcare colleagues to build best practices and aggregate data across sites

    • Monitor reporting performance and troubleshoot as needed in the eCW eBO Reporting Application

    • Support Clinical Quality Improvement team by preparing meeting materials; collect and prepare data for use in presentations.
    • Collaborate with IT Team for the delivery of help desk support, ongoing troubleshooting, and problem resolution for the end users of the Electronic Health Record applications with a focus on data reporting and clinical quality improvement processes:
    • Conduct preliminary investigation and document findings related to tickets or projects
    • Assist with testing software upgrades and provide general support for the HIT department
    • Maintain ongoing understanding of EHR application and its' use

    WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...

    • Bachelor's Degree in statistics, bioinformatics, biology, psychology, sociology or social sciences; Master's Degree is preferred.
    • 2 years' experience in Health IT or a related area with 1 or more years' experience with data analysis or reporting
    • Intermediate to advanced SQL and/or Power BI skills, and intermediate skills in reporting software, SSRS preferred
    • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, such as t-tests, chi-squared, ANOVA, and structural equational modeling
    • Experience with Electronic Health Record software preferred, but not required
    • Strong team orientation and willingness to work collaboratively; skilled in absorbing new ideas and concepts quickly and effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a changing environment
    • Customer service oriented with excellent written, oral and presentation skills
    • Proven success in analytical and problem-solving and the ability to draw conclusions
