FIRE ALARM PROJECT MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in fire alarm systems and project management. This position is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of fire alarm projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

OBJECTIVES

• Collaborate with clients, sales team, designers, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements and design specifications.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and schedule.
• Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate procurement of necessary materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems, adhering to industry codes and regulations.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues or deviations from the plan.
• Maintain clear and open communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing their inquiries and concerns.
• Prepare and submit project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and final project reports.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential project opportunities and provide technical expertise during the proposal phase.

COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering fire alarm projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
• Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Construction Management degree or applicable other degree or certification from a technical school or college
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm systems design, installation, and project management.
• Fire Alarm certification(s) such as NICET or similar are a plus.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
