Senior Tax Analyst jobs in Harrison, NE

The Senior Tax Expert:

• Reports directly to Chief Financial Officer
• Readies Federal, State, or local tax returns for individuals, business establishments, or other organizations
• Frequent computation of quarterly estimated tax payments for corporations and individuals
• Prepares and analyzes financial and tax accounts, records, and reports; and determines taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws and regulations
• Advises management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability
• Confirms that establishment complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements
• Keeps all tax information
• Assists with tax compliance
• Gives guidance based on research of tax laws and regulations
• Helps with tax audits
• Analyzes financial documentation and coordinates tax preparation efforts
• Gathers and reviews various financial statements
• Identifies tax liabilities and prepares documentation prior to filing

Candidate Qualifications:

• CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years, preferred 8 years experience in Public Accounting or similar field
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts and tax laws
• Working knowledge of GAAP, including preparation and review of financial statements
