JOB SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, performs all shipping and receiving functions, including receiving and shipping of products, materials and supplies requiring the verification of goods received; preparing, controlling, and maintaining all shipping/receiving documentation, reporting of damaged goods and shortages and routing of received goods. This position fill orders for stored products, material and supplies and is responsible for packaging valves and spare parts, using special packaging machines, to specification of shop orders, signing and distributing paperwork and checking product to be shipped to packing list. The position also places goods in storage and maintains inventory including the making of pulls with complete traceability and distributing the required shipping documentation, indicating items filled or omitted, maintains records of outgoing orders and reports short supplies to supervisor.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Packaging nuclear/aerospace/scientific valves and spare parts to specification of shop orders. 
• Signing and distributing paperwork and checking product to be shipped to packing list.  
• Controls stocking of nuclear/aerospace parts and ensuring all pertinent documentation is with the parts.  
• Fill orders for stored products, material, and supplies in accordance with specifications.  
• Places goods in storage, and in addition to indicating items filled or omitted, maintains records of outgoing orders and reports short supplies to supervisor.  
• Transport filled orders, may pack orders for shipment, using special packaging machines. 
• Operates all material handling machines, including forklift trucks.  
• Drives Company van to deliver and pick up various parts and raw materials.  

• Moves parts to and from work area. 
• Maintains good housekeeping in work area and must adhere to all safety regulations and best practices. 
• Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner.
• Arrives to work on time, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

• May be required to perform other duties as directed by supervision.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High Diploma or GED.  
• 1-3 years’ experience as a stockroom attendant, or equivalent.        

• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. 

 REQUISITE SKILLS REQUIRED

• Demonstrated acceptable performance of the required job duties, including the use of arithmetic. 
• Acceptable knowledge of nuclear/aerospace manual and experience in handling-controlled parts.
• Able to operate special packaging machines, material handling machines and forklift trucks.
• Acceptable knowledge of EstiTrak system.

EQUIPIMENT/MACHINERY USED

• Operates special packaging equipment and material handling machines.  and forklift trucks.
• Certified to operate the forklift.
• Certified to operate the electric pallet jack.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting up to 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing.
