Shipping and Receiving Supervisor supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. $18 / hr
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Receive goods via UPS / FEDEX / LTL, including removing skids from LTL truck.
- Verify counts of products received and physically move them into inventory locations, including using ERP software for locations.
- Pick products from inventory locations using ERP computer software.
- Physically move product to the press for production.
- If more stock is required, it must be removed from inventory on the computer prior to physically taking it to production.
- Utilize UPS and FEDEX Ship Manager for small package shipping.
- Prepare / Manage / Store UPS / FEDEX daily shipments.
- Load LTL trucks for outgoing shipments.
- Manage LTL pallets; building / storing / removing.
- Perform repetitive duties for 8 hours to meet daily deadlines in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing and standing during 8 hour shift.
Candidate MUST have at least 5 years previous experience in a Warehouse setting using shipping and receiving skills, ERP or inventory software management experience.
