Shipping and Receiving Supervisor - Night Shift - Greensboro, NC
What You Will Do
- Oversee and orchestrate the seamless movement of materials between warehouses, meticulously ensuring alignment with our customer satisfaction objectives.
- Maintain precise control over both inbound and outbound shipments, including the careful management of warehouse inventory.
- Collaborate closely with the transportation department to facilitate smooth shipment flow, stepping in to manage any incidents or issues as they arise.
- Act as a liaison in daily production meetings, advocating for the department's needs and objectives.
- Evaluate and ensure the exemplary performance of the Shipping and Receiving Leader, providing direct support as required.
- Implement and manage the team schedule, while steadfastly upholding all safety protocols and procedures to foster a clean, organized, and secure work environment in full compliance with company standards.
What You Will Bring
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or Degree in Engineering, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in Manufacturing or Shipping and Receiving.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work night shift on a 2-2-3-2 rotational schedule of 12-hour shifts (6pm - 6am)
- Strong decision-making skills, including initiative and clear, quick actions.
- Proven leadership in fast-paced environments, with motivation and delegation abilities.
- Knowledgeable about product specifications and production standards.
- Effective planning and organizational skills, with multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in computers, detail-oriented, and mathematically inclined.
- Able to conduct accurate measurements and exert physical effort as needed.
- Compliant with instructions and policies, punctual and committed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Capable of working under pressure, maintaining positivity, and handling setbacks effectively.
- Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
- Capacity to work overtime, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
