Shipping Coordinator jobs in Dayton, OH

We have an immediate need for a Shipping Coordinator at our aerospace location in Troy, Ohio. The primary focus of this role is managing, organizing and tracking the company's assets to ensure they are maintained, accounted for and secure. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in asset management and administration.  1st shift: M - F, 7 am to 3 pm.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintaining accurate records of all assets including location, value, and condition.
• Conduct regular audits under supervision to verify the accuracy of asset records and update as necessary.
• Support with the execution of asset management procedures such as transferring, disposing, and updating assets.
• Work with relevant departments to ensure assets are being utilized effectively and any potential issues are resolved.
• Provide administrative support to internal and external stakeholders regarding asset-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements regarding assets.

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a shipping or inventory coordination role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with asset management software and systems is a plus.
• ERP system experience required, SAP is preferred.
• Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
