Job Overview:
Manage a team of employees during your assigned shift that prepare glass for and ship racks of glass on trucks to our customers
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the overall effort of warehousing and shipping to include Inv. Rotation, zoning, and staging, housekeeping, safety, loading and unloading of trucks with efficiently and accuracy.
Manage computer and book inventory systems for an inventory of between 20 and 40 thousand tons. This includes annual physical inventories as well as everyday monitoring and reporting.
Participating in several team activities ranging from employee involvement in department functions to corporate-wide functions.
Directly and indirectly training both new and experienced employees on changing inter-departmental issues as well as internal issues. Back- up for subordinates and department superintendent, union issues.

Technical Competency
Education and Qualifications:
4 year college degree preferred
1-3 years of supervisory experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Computer literacy required in the Microsoft package and UKG Timekeeping
Warehousing and/or shipping experienced preferred.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Safety: Must stay informed and consistently follow all safety policies and procedures at all times; is expected to serve as a partner in maintaining a safe workplace for all.
Quality: Must stay informed and consistently follow all policies and procedures so as to support the highest possible quality standards for glass production.
