We are currently searching for a dedicated Shipping Coordinator to join our team.

(Formerly known as Thomas Engineering Company was founded in 1962) Now called R&M High Speed Stampings. Our 90,000 sq. ft. manufacturing building is located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. We specialize in high-quality, close-tolerance micro-miniature top medium sized metal stampings and assemblies to a wide range of industries and markets. We offer rapid prototyping, tool design and construction, ranging from simple stamping dies to complex progressive stamping and forming dies.

What is a Shipping Coordinator?

A shipping coordinator is responsible for managing the shipment of goods from one place to another. They coordinate with various parties, such as suppliers, carriers, and customers, to ensure that shipments are processed efficiently and delivered on time. Shipping coordinators also track shipments, maintain shipping records, and handle any issues that may arise during the shipping process. Additionally, they may be responsible for ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and maintaining inventory levels.

In this role, you will:

Determine method of shipment, via portals, and routing guidelines

Affix shipping labels on packed cartons and verify shipping information

Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications

Inventory control - perform cycle counts and reconciliations

Perform all necessary computer transactions

Operate weight scale and digital counter

Examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages

Route items to departments

Track PRO part numbers of incoming and outgoing movements

To succeed in this role, you must:

Be a certified forklift operator

Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds

Have ability to train, communicate, and work with others

Display ethical behavior and acts with integrity

Have good attendance history

Have at least 2-3 years' experience in shipping

Have ability to change and adapt to urgent time lines

Have ability to thrive in a fast- pace environment

Have knowledge of using a computer
