POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the shipping operations for Arizon Companies.

The ideal candidate for this position is analytical, well-organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. They should be comfortable with managing paperwork and utilizing information systems. A strong understanding of shipping procedures is crucial.

Your primary goal as a Shipping Manager will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping processes. By coordinating with various teams and utilizing your expertise, you will play a vital role in maintaining the timely delivery of orders and enhancing customer satisfaction.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Ensure on time, cost-effective deliveries.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for shipping and reporting.
• Develop and maintain metrics to track progress in cost savings improvements.
• Vet new carriers and negotiate pricing.
• Evaluate carrier performance and resolve issues with orders and logistics.
• Recruit, train and supervise the activities of employees engaged in all shipping departments.
• Ensure all shipments comply with federal, state and local regulations including safety regulations and customer requirements.
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of supply chain and/or shipping experience.
• Proven drive to succeed.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills a plus.
• Must have a can do, positive attitude and have the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced team environment.
