KOMO Machine, Inc. is a subsidiary of the well-known multi-national corporation PMC Global Inc., Sun Valley, CA. KOMO designs and manufactures high quality precision computer numerically controlled (CNC) routers and machining centers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CNC Applications Specialist to join our team. As a CNC Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting Komo’s customer base as well as our sales, production, and customer service groups with a working knowledge of CNC machine tool setup, operation, and optimization. Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to end users of CNC routers and machining centers in the form of troubleshooting or improving cut quality, improving cycle times, improving general efficiencies and yields

• Maintain a queue of applications based customer service tickets

• Work with cross functional teams to develop new, machine design based solutions or improve existing features

• Perform testing on production machines as part of the final inspection process

• Interact directly with existing or potential customers to produce CNC machining time studies

• Generate CNC machining based content for Komo’s social media channels

• Coordinate and conduct live or recorded demonstrations of Komo’s product line

• Research, provide coordination support, and attend industry tradeshows

• Develop customer training programs and administer in house or at customer facilities

• Anticipate up to 25% travel associated with customer support, sales support, and training functions

Skills:

• Must have experience in G code programming of machine tools

• Must have CAD and CAM software experience such as Autodesk products, Mastercam, Fusion 360, Router-CIM, Mosaik, Microvellum

• Familiarity with CNC control systems. Fanuc experience is highly desirable.

• Must be able to specify tooling, feeds, and speeds for a wide range of machining operations including wood, plastics, ferrous and non ferrous cutting

• MS Office skills related to customer facing report generation, training program development and internal communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
