GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Our General Managers drive growth and success by delivering engaging wine experiences in an extraordinary wine sales environment. In this role you have to be hospitality obsessed, love sales, and be a capable manager of people and teams.
You’ll engage with guests and clients, and lead our team managers, wine sales people, chefs, sommeliers and service professionals, participate in the ideation and execution of special projects and space activations, and work with extraordinary wines, food, and makers from around the world. You will work hard to engage our community and foster deep relationships within it.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive top-line growth across all areas of the unit business (wine shop, wine bar, and market).
- Coordinate the alignment of all areas of the business to meet our overall brand promise and revenue goals.
- Oversee hiring, scheduling, labor budgets, and payroll for all areas of the unit business.
- Maintain a healthy bottom line by controlling labor, margins/prime cost, and waste.
- Ownership of unit-level compliance and licensing.
- Ownership of unit Point-of-Sale systems and operational technology platforms.
- Oversee a team of 12 - 25 team members and area managers.
- Oversee the store’s regular inventory management process.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for your team members.
- Oversee and assist with new-hire onboarding and continual hospitality, customer service, and sales training.
- Ensure field leading product knowledge through ongoing education for all members of the team.
- Lead Managers’ Meetings and Sales Meetings, huddles, and other meetings as necessary.
- Coordinate merchandising, SPIFFs, incentives, and focus product initiatives with our buyers.
- Coordinate the execution of programming, activations, signage deployments, and environmental enhancements with our marketing department.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have 3 years of leadership experience in a complex, excellence-focused retail and/or restaurant environment and a track record for being a top performer.
- Focused on fostering a culture of excellence and execution.
- Able to build, coach, and maintain an ambitious high performance team that meets operations, sales, and performance goals.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
