Job Summary: Bemidji Steel Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Applications Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our sales quoting operations by evaluating customer parts, determining production feasibility, and assisting in the quote and evaluation process. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate Customer Parts: Analyze customer-provided parts and specifications to determine if they can be produced by Bemidji Steel Company.
• Feasibility Assessment: Conduct feasibility studies to assess the manufacturability of parts, considering material, design, and production capabilities.
• Quote Preparation: Collaborate with the sales team to prepare accurate and competitive quotes based on the feasibility assessment.
• Evaluation Process Assistance: Assist in the evaluation process by providing technical insights and recommendations to optimize part design for manufacturability.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of evaluations, quotes, and communications to ensure transparency and traceability.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices in quoting and evaluation operations.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SoildWorks CAD software or related is a must.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
