ROUTE MANAGER
As the Route Manager at Quality Disposal Systems, Inc you will be a key member of our leadership team. Our organization has three areas of responsibility: Office and Customer Service, Fleet Maintenance, and Operations. The Route Manager is the operations person. The operations person is primarily focused on managing the routes and the individuals who run those routes in order to provide service to our customers. It also involves some Human Resources tasks that directly involve our employees. In addition, there are some facilities and maintenance tasks that round out the responsibilities of this position.
Responsibilities of the Route Manager:
1. Have full knowledge of all routes being run weekly (33 at this time). This means being able to get in a truck and run the route as a regular driver would. (After training of course.)
2. Modify existing route structures to improve efficiency.
3. Supervise and evaluate route drivers to help them reach their maximum potential.
4. Interview, evaluate, and hire new drivers as needed. Complete all DOT onboarding requirements for said drivers.
5. Monitor inventory of trash carts and dumpsters, and order as necessary to maintain a sufficient supply.
6. Manage the company’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan.
7. Other miscellaneous duties as may arise.
Requirements:
1. Respect for the knowledge of your employer.

3. The ability to communicate with co-workers, both in times of agreement and in times of disagreement.
4. The ability to lift 60 pounds above one’s head.
5. Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the last two years).
6. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
7. Class B commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
