ON CALL - Dual Rate Slot Attendant:
The On Call Slot Dual Rate Attendant will serve as a supervisor and slot attendant, when needed. As a supervisor they will oversee Slot Operations as assigned and in both roles they will ensure world-class hospitality, building loyalty, and creating legendary experiences for both guests and employees. Both roles are fast-paced and require operational savvy, unwavering enthusiasm and resilience, and a passion for excellence.
Role Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting Slot Operations Management in all departmental initiatives related to training, and process/procedure development.
- Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls.
- Implements strategies and leads initiatives to continuously improve guest service and guest service scores.
- Ensures departmental procedures are followed and effective in assuring proper protection of all gaming operations from loss due to mistake or theft.
- Leads by example; learns and shows proficiency in performing all duties required/performed by his/her work groups.
- Proactively recognizes, rewards and celebrates outstanding examples of team member performance.
- Guides and instructs assigned personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Provides mentoring and supports the goals and aspirations of team members.
- Promotes effective utilization of equipment and manpower.
- Supports loyalty program by creating accounts as well as performing general functions within the customer management system.
- Ensures all guest problems are handled quickly to ensure guest satisfaction within the established guidelines.
Slot Attendant Responsibilities:
- Respond to guest needs, including slot machine inquiries, slot payouts, making change, loyalty program duties, processing jackpots, promotional participation, and general slot machine maintenance and trouble-shooting.
- Builds relationships and loyalty with guests through sincere and meaningful interactions; learns guests’ names and preferences, connects with them individually and professionally.
- Acts with urgency at all times to minimize wait times; maintains a quick and purposeful pace.
- Meets and exceeds departmental wait time goals and service standards.
- Follows departmental procedures are and assists in protection of gaming operations from loss due to mistake or theft.
- Upholds all regulatory requirements.
- Ensures accuracy in all responsibilities, including cash handling, procedural requirements, logging, and processing paperwork.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
- Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Must be able to turn key constantly.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree (or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school) or 2 years equivalent training/experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Slot Attendant preferred.
- 2 years of supervisory leadership in service or gaming environment preferred.
- Casino or Gaming experience a plus; service experience required.
- Strong operational background, preferably in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Previous money handling experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age.
License Requirements:
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio
