Senior Producer, Nightly News Show

Blaze Media is growing fast, and we have an immediate need for a senior producer to join us at our beautiful studios in Las Colinas, Texas. This person will play a vital role in launching and leading production for an edgy and authoritative daily news show. The position requires impeccable editorial judgment, an eye for packaging and presenting content for digital media, and a collaborative leadership style. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee end-to-end execution of daily show with an editorial focus on Blaze Media properties (Blaze News, Return, Align, Fearless), talent, contributors and writers

• Lead daily production meetings with show team

• Build rundown and oversee script, graphic, and video element creation

• Oversee and collaborate on guest booking

• Provide direction in the control room with host and crew

• Ensure social media best practices for all content distribution points

• Manage relationships with show’s ad sponsors and ensure accurate ad scripts and elements are in rundown

• Monitor and track KPIs and develop new strategies for increasing performance

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• 3-5 years previous experience in live or live-to-tape control room environment

• Ability to work with high-profile guests and TV hosts

• Familiarity with using and building rundowns in iNews or Octopus programs

• A strong interest in politics and culture

• Understanding of the current conservative digital media landscape

• Impeccable judgment for identifying content that has potential to go viral

• Strong writing skills

• Strong verbal communication skills

• Highly detail-oriented and reliable
