Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing direct social work services to patients and families.
• Requires knowledge of developmental stages as services can be and are provided to infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatrics populations.
• Requires knowledge of cultural influences in response to illness as there is cultural diversity in the population served.
• Promotes professional and ethical philosophy consistent with the hospital's mission statement and the National Society of Social Workers code of ethics.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• License to practice Social Work in the State of NJ (LMSW)
• Minimum 2 years experience in a hospital setting
