Software Engineering Director directs and oversees the software engineering function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications/operating systems according to business needs. Establishes policies and procedures that produce high-quality software product and service. Being a Software Engineering Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Software Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Software Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Participate in the entire application lifecycle, including specifying, coding and debugging
Knowledgeable in modern OS coding techniques, IP protocols, and hardware interfaces
Develop clean code for vending machine applications
Familiarity with software configuration tools
Utilize cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
Address technical and design requirements effectively
Create reusable code and libraries for future use
Liaise with both internal and external developers.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to identify/specify new features.
Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
